    We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a well qualified and committed individual to join our highly skilled maintenance team in Lount as a Skilled Technician. This is a critical role for our business as you will take accountability for ensuring that all sortation equipment on site is repaired and serviced to recognised standards whilst keeping the downtime of machinery to an absolute minimum in order to avoid impacting service levels within the operation.

     

    Responsibilities

    This is a challenging and varied role which requires an individual with excellent organisation and communication skills. On a day to day basis you will ensure that the Preventative Maintenance Schedule is adhered to, building effective relationships with the Operations Management team to ensure that issues and difficulties identified are resolved quickly and efficiently.

     

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organised, hold a City and Guilds Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent and have the following skills:

    • Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition (IEE) electrical regulations
    • Proven electrical/mechanical maintenance background
    • Ability to read electrical schematic drawings
    • Understanding of PLC controlled equipment
    • Flexible approach to shift patterns
    • Understanding of health and safety legislation
    • Knowledge of BEUMER sortation machines would be considered advantageous.
