  • Overview

Every year our teams deliver up to 150 million items through our network. Having the largest individual share of the national market and employing nearly 8,000 people in the UK there is no better time to join TNT.

Following recent appointments, we now have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a committed Security Manager to join our team, reporting directly into the Senior Security Management Team.

The role will give you plenty of variety, being responsible for preventing any losses incurred through criminal activity or security related risks along with preventing and disrupting any Act or attempt of an Act of Terrorism.

    Responsibilities

Using your analytical skills you will be able to identify any areas that may result in loss or damage through poor practice or compliance and introduce controls in line with our security policies to reduce the risk to the business.  Managing compliance is a key element of this role.

You will be responsible for minimising and eliminating the cost of claims through goods that have been stolen, lost or damaged while in transit. This will allow you to use your interviewing skills and previous experience gained in criminal law to complete thorough, professional and timely investigations should any criminal offences be suspected.

A crucial part of the role will require you to manage a team of Security Supervisors and Security Guards ensuring that their focus remains on adhering to our security procedures and responding to any security breaches as well as effectively and efficiently managing vehicle movements in and out of our hubs.  Therefore, daily travel between our Hubs in Atherstone, Kingsbury and Lount will be required.

    Qualifications

Ideally you will have experience within a Police Force and/or within a logistics and freight security function.

You will be required to work cross functionally and must therefore be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and influence others.

Given the nature of the role it is imperative that you have both strong prioritisation and organisational skills along with excellent interpersonal skills. You must have a flexible approach to working hours as Security is a 24 hour operation though this position is predominantly a 18:00 to 04:00 role - Monday to Friday.

In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive:

    Attractive salary

    Company Car

    Opportunity for real career progression

    Excellent training and development package
