    An opportunity has arisen for a Business Control Accountant to join the Finance team.


    This role reports into the FP&A Finance function but is unique in that until integration is completed it will incorporate Accounting and Control responsibilities.


    Key Responsibilities and duties will include:

    • Providing effective support and challenge the relevant function and cost centre owners across Non-Core and Core businesses
    • Interpreting financial performance of the Business (Core and Non-Core), identifying risks and opportunities
    • Clearly communicate business performance to multiple audiences in and outside of Finance.
    • Delivering  month end result for the Core and Non-Core business, and produce commentary on the movement of costs that demonstrates a thorough understanding of what drives the business (e.g. Monthly Business Review, Forecast and Plan review Packs) and local weekly and monthly reporting.
    • Producing balance sheet reconciliations
    • Creating the right drill down tools to drive business performance from the SVP level down to Depot GM level, clearly being able to communicate business performance to multiple audiences in and outside of Finance will be key.
    • Driving the successful delivery of new report designs through collaboration with business leaders and business partners.
    • Ensuring that the company has sound financial reporting to support the management of the business for all areas of responsibility.
    • Carrying out the annual plan and monthly forecasts using in the area of responsibility
    • Significantly contributing to the forecast and annual plan process, ensuring the financial and non-financial data is accurate and submitted to required deadlines.


     To be successful in the role you will be able to analyse and interpret large amounts of complex data and communicate to stakeholders in a way that they can understand.


    You will have experienced in working with management accounting methodology along with technical and practical knowledge of accounting principles, disciplines and standards


    You will be  CIMA/ACCA Qualified (would consider QBE's)
