We have a rare opportunity for a self motivated individual to join us as a Maintenance Technician Foreman to join our Team based at our Central Sortation Unit at Kingsbury. This is a shift role working Days and Nights shifts on a rota basis so flexibility will be essential.


Day shift hours: 

1100 - 1930 (Monday to Thursday)

1100 - 1830 (Friday)


Night shift hours: 

1930 - 0330 (Monday to Thursday)

1930 - 0300 (Friday)


As a fully skilled Maintenance Technician Foreman you will work as part of a team in a busy environment, your daily tasks will include the following:

  • Ensuring the correct and effective safe use of all tools, plant and ancillary equipment
  • To ensure that all company plant and equipment on site is repaired and serviced to recognised standards as laid down by the Company Preventative Maintenance Schedules
  • Take all reasonable action to ensure minimal downtime of Sortation equipment
  • Organise Staff in their work to obtain the most productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure there is good communication between people with whom there is a special working relationship
  • In the absence of the Maintenance Manager ensure that full reporting procedures are maintained and agreed duties are carried out
  • Manage absenteeism within your department
  • Train and develop teams within the maintenance department


The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in prioritising a busy workload within a similar environment and due to legislative requirements needs to have a high attention to detail.


To be considered for this position you will have:

  • A full EU Driving Licence 

  • City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Mechanical Maintenance

  • 16th or 17th Edition electrical regulation

  • Proven experience in man management

  • Understanding of PLC controlled equipment

  • Flexible approach to work

  • Ability to read electrical schematic drawings

  • PC Literate
  • Ability to prioritise workloads. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to give attention to detail
  • Experience in implementing and managing H&S procedures
