As part of our continued expansion and exciting growth plans we are opening a new state of the art site in Dartford. This is huge investment for TNT and we are anticipating that it will bring substantial opportunities to colleagues and customer alike. As a result we have a fantastic opportunity for committed individuals to join our new team as maintenance Technicians. 

Responsibilities

This is a critical role for our business as you will take accountability for ensuring that all sortation equipment on site is repaired and serviced to recognised standards whilst keeping the downtime of machinery to an absolute minimum in order to avoid impacting service levels within the operation.

 

This is a challenging and varied role which requires an individual with excellent organisation and communication skills. On a day to day basis you will ensure that the Preventative Maintenance Schedule is adhered to, building effective relationships with the Operations Management team to ensure that issues and difficulties identified are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organised, hold a City and Guilds Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent and have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition (IEE) electrical regulations
  • Proven electrical/mechanical maintenance background
  • Ability to read electrical schematic drawings
  • Understanding of PLC controlled equipment
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of parcel sorting machines and conveyor systems

Please be advised the role requires you to work a three weekly rotational shift pattern as follows:

Day shift: 06.00 - 14.18
Afternoon shift:14.00 - 22.18
Night shift: 22.00 - 06.18
